For over a decade, Peninnah faced a common frustration: the shelves were full of products, but none of them actually worked for her hair and skin needs. Adding castor oil and coconut oil to store bought products worked to a degree. But there was still something missing .

In 2023 Peninah began to research the molecular benefits of natural oils and butters on hair and skin and how to formulate her own hair and skincare products. From this, Niriris was born.
